7 Signs Physical Therapy Might be Needed: For Babies and Toddlers
- Not sitting by 8 months.
- Not commando- crawling by 9 months.
- Not cruising by 12 months.
- Not walking by 15 months.
- Prefers to turn head only to one side.
- Only walks on tip-toes for more than 6 months.
- Was born premature.
9 Signs Physical Therapy Might be Needed: For Children and Teens
- Poor coordination and clumsiness while walking or running.
- Difficulty riding a bike or playing sports.
- Difficulty catching or throwing a ball.
- Difficulty doing large motor tasks. (Hopping on one foot, jumping, or skipping.)
- Have recently broken a bone, had a sprain, or been in a cast.
- Complains of growing pains.
- Difficulty running up and down stairs.
- Only walks on tip-toes for more than 6 months.
- Poor posture control.
