When you visit, you can expect 45–60 minute sessions 1–2 times a week for pediatric occupational therapy or pediatric physical therapy, based on your child’s needs. Pediatric speech therapy sessions are typically 30 minutes and may occur more than once a week if needed.

Each visit also includes parent education and hands-on interventions using the latest evidence-based therapies. We work closely with your child’s doctor to create an individualized plan of care. About Us

Rehab Specialists of Idaho is the largest provider of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy in our region, serving families in Rigby, Rexburg, Ashton, Island Park and West Yellowstone. Our team includes more than 50 specialists, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Cardiac Therapists, Wound Care Specialists, and Athletic Trainers.

We partner with Madison Memorial Hospital, the Ashton Living Center, home health companies, and the Idaho Infant Toddler Program. Our therapists also support schools across Madison, Jefferson, and Fremont County School Districts. Chances are, you or someone in your family has already benefited from our care.

How often will my child come to therapy?

Most children attend therapy 1–2 times per week, depending on their individual needs and treatment plan. Physical and occupational therapy sessions are typically 45–60 minutes, while speech therapy sessions are typically about 30 minutes. Your child’s therapist will recommend the frequency and session length based on their evaluation and goals.

What do I do if I’m unsure if my child needs therapy?

If you’re unsure whether your child may benefit from physical, occupational, or speech therapy, our Rexburg and Rigby pediatric clinics offer free 15-minute screenings. A therapist can meet with you and your child, discuss your concerns, and help determine whether a therapy evaluation may be appropriate.

You can also talk with your child’s primary care provider about your concerns and ask them to send us a referral. Once we receive the referral, our office will contact you to discuss insurance information and current appointment openings.

What ages of patients do you accept?

Our Rexburg and Rigby pediatric clinics serve children. Our Ashton and Island Park clinics provide physical and occupational therapy for adults and children, with speech therapy also available in Ashton. Our West Yellowstone clinic offers occupational therapy for adults and children. Adults can also receive care at Madisonhealth Therapy Services at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg.
