Though he stays in the background and would rather our therapists get the spotlight–when even the Department of Defense wants to recognize you for being a supportive boss, it deserves a post!

Matt Daybell, the founder and CEO of Rehab Specialists of Idaho, was awarded the “Patriotic Employer” award for “Contributing to National Security and Protecting Liberty and Freedom by Supporting Employee Participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force”.

Matt was nominated for the award by Jared Olsen, an Athletic Trainer for Rehab Specialists of Idaho and a member of the Army National Guard.

“Matt has always been a supportive and caring CEO and has continued to show his unwavering support for his employees. When I decided to join the Idaho Army National Guard, Matt instantly supported the decision. He has supported me in my service to our nation by maintaining by employment at RSI and frequently vocalizing how grateful he is for my service as an employee and as a soldier,” said Olsen.

Matt is the owner of Rehab Specialists of Idaho with his wife Heather. He started RSI 20 years ago as the one and only employee and fostered its growth into what it is today—the single largest employer of therapists in the area.

When not running the business end of RSI, Matt works as a pediatric occupational therapist, where he specializes in early intervention, working with children in their home from birth to 3 years of age.
