April is Autism Awareness Month!
Here are some of our favorite quotes about Autism:

“I am different, not less.” ―Temple Grandin

“If you’ve met one person with autism, you’ve met one person with autism.” —Stephen Shore

“Autism doesn’t come with an instruction guide. It comes with a family who will never give up.” —Kerry Magro

“I might hit developmental and societal milestones in a different order than my peers, but I am able to accomplish these small victories on my own time.” —Haley Mos

“It takes a village to raise a child. It takes a child with autism to raise the consciousness of the village.” —Elaine Hall
On average, Autism is diagnosed around age 5 in the U.S., with signs appearing by age 2 or 3. Autism is a lifelong condition, and an Autistic person’s needs, strengths and challenges may change over time. As they transition through life stages, they may need different types of support and accommodations. (Source: Autism Speaks)
